Highlights from this week
- Lil Chico is making great progress on recognizing his written name! Amongst other related activities, we had been having him choose between "John" and "Lil Chico". Once he had selected his name 10 times out of 10 for a few days, we switched to his name and another one that started with the same first letter (in case he was fixating on the first/capital). On his first try, he picked his name 7/10 times. \^o^/
- Down in first grade, I got to witness a super cool light experiment. The primary colors of light are red, blue, and green, right? So we took a red, green, and blue glo-stick, cut them open, and mixed them together to make white light. SO. COOL.
- The Girl is getting much better at remembering her birthdate. :)
- My Spanish vocabulary is steadily increasing! This week's additions include: cuarenta, cincuenta, sesenta, setenta, ochenta, noventa, cien*, más o menos, regla, bonito, facilidad, sujetapapeles, lápiz, escribo, escritorio de maestra, y hipopótamo. :)
* Yes. Before this week, I could only count to 39.
