"Darth Vader... He's the one from Star Trek, right?"
So, a story idea has been floating around my head for the past several months. It would probably be a short story or novella, nothing too long. But I'm not sure if it's been done before. It's a pretty vague idea that I could develop a lot more later if I decide I want to go for it. Basically, it's hot, average boy falls in love with geeky girl. Think Leonard and Penny with the roles reversed. I'm not talking "slightly awkward girl with glasses and braces undergoes transformation and wins the affections of her crush" (ala The Princess Diaries), I mean a love story about a girl who is proud of her nerdhood (while not being a social pariah) and a fun, sporty guy who doesn't know the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars.
Anybody know of anything similar to this having been done before? If not, does it sound at all interesting? ;)
