So here's my monthly entry.
K's still here, and according to the gods of bureaucracy, likely to stay. That was mostly a relief - from the recent stress brought on by the uncertain outcome, and for what it means long-term (even though she's understandably sad and probably will always be, over that loss).
Most recent and excited news: I have a son! (a foster son that is) The way these things work, when "normal" parents find out they'll be parents (or as in my case, parents again), I guess they have at least a few days/weeks to decide how to announce it to the rest of the world...then a few more months to prepare for the little person to join the family, right? Not us foster parents! I had "the idea of wanting another one" for a while...then the call came (last Wednesday), within less than an hour the yes was said...and within hours I was registering him from school (sight unseen!), making room in his closet and putting clean sheets in his bed. I have already started kissing boo-boos, negotiating bites of broccoli and supervising toothbrushing! Whew! And the thing is, I can't wait for the rest! (Well, the blowouts I *can* wait for...I know they'll come! :( But we're still in the honeymoon period and I'm enjoying it. So maybe there'll be more about "C" in Greyaenigma's journal in the near furture (if mine continues to be a monthly, which is likely!)
Haven't heard back from my parents yet...how I'd like to be there when they read the email I sent them this morning!
