Oh Hawaii 5-O

One of the things that cracks me up about Hawaii 5-O is how the writers are so fabulously insane. On one hand they write this great, witty, snarky banter, and create characters that are interesting and fun to watch and then it's like they remember they are also supposed to be writing a CRIME SHOW so they have to come up with a plot. Plots are hard, yo.

When jumperkid and I watch, this is what it's like in our house:

General squeeing that show is on.

Dramatic vocal interpretations of the theme song, often accompanied by dance moves.

"OMG Steve and Danny are in the CAR! I love car conversations!"

"Oh look at Steve looking at Danny and being all *hearts in his eyes*!"

"Kono is awesome! Look at her be awesome!"

"Chin, how do you manage to rock the silly Hawaiian shirt? Seriously no one should look that good in a shirt that ridiculous"

And then one of us will make the terrible mistake of ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION.

"Wait, What? What were they trying to do? What's going on? Did they just stop a gang war? Was that what they were trying to do? I don't...they went to a party and looked hot and then shot up a bunch of people/things and now they seemed to have solved whatever the problem was...What just happened????"

And then Steve takes his shirt off and we immediately accept whatever crazy ass "plot" we just watched.

I love this show.
