hey gang,
I'm all tired out after 2 weeks of class. I knew I'd be doing a lot of work, but I had no idea of how much of a time commitment I'd be making. However, I love my students, and I love the stuff we're working on, and most of all I LOVE the money (my paycheck is now in hand)!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good news: York is closed both on Yom Kippur (next monday) and Thanksgiving Monday (that's the monday after that) so reprieve is coming! I solemnly swear that I will spend both of those mondays sleeping and watching crap TV. I will do no marking on these glorious gifted days!!!!
Speaking of: Phi, are you and Spiff thinking of coming down for Thanksgiving? Em says she probably won't make it because she has to work on her thesis. I have no ideas about my own plans, but just thought I'd check in with you. Getting out of the city for a few days would be nice.
In other news: my writing students are getting one hell of a grammar test tomorrow! grrr!
