What did you think of Shiver? After reading your comments above I really want to check out the Piano Teacher. I love disturbing books and character study.

Shiver was just OK. I didn't want to continue with the others.

The Piano Teacher was very good, and original. It was a disturbing character study...so there you go! Just your cup of tea!

No I have not, sounds like something I'd enjoy? I love recommendations! As far as disturbing and character study goes one of my all time favorites is Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk, the author of Fight Club. All of his books are fantastic, even his non-fiction work.

I'm sure you will like it.

I've only read Lullaby by Chuck. Fantastic!

Well thanks for the recommendation! I always appreciate them.

Wow, well his other books are just as great, my favorites are definitely Invisible Monsters, Diary and Fight Club. I haven't read his newest ones but I can tell you I need to catch up because they're probably just as fantastic!
