Random Ramblings of a not-so-good gamer

So, in case you all didn't know, MY computer, in my room, is out of commission at the moment. I have two leads on fixing it. One I haven't looked into yet, and the other will work, but cost $200. In the meantime, I've been using school computers, and the one in the basement. I don't really like doing the latter, because there's all kinds of bugs down there. Ikk. However, I FINALLY (with the help of my boyfriend) moved it upstairs, onto an old desk my sister used to use (it's gorgeous and I love it). Now, up til now, most computer desks I've used have two "levels", and the monitor sits on the top level. Since I'm so short, this means I can never really view the flatscreen monitors at just the right angle, which blows when I'm gaming. The old desk of my sister's, however, only has one level. What I realized as I was playing to celebrate last night? I can SEE the screen!!!! *squees*

The more I think about it, the more I miss Imoen. If you've ever played the Baldur's Gate games (no, NOT Dark Alliance; I'm a PC gamer), you'll know who I mean. If you haven't, wiki it. It'd take to long to explain, and I'd indubitably bore you all. Suffice to say that she is an eternally cheerful thief, and the first person to join me in the first game I ever played. She was my little sister, and she will always hold a special place in my heart. I've never finished the final chapter of Baldur's Gate 2, and now I'm not sure I want to. Will I hear that we end up being parted forever? It's something to muse on. Either way, no game has ever been quite the same without her there.
