Valentines Pairing Meme
Hi guys!
This is a cute pairing meme I found and have been patiently waiting for Valentine's day week to post it. So, here's how it works:
You comment with a pairing (or better yet, multiple pairings!) that I know and I answer the following questions about them. And then comes the fun part....discussing the answers!
( Here we go! )
2) I LOVE their cute little breakfasts by the Queen's balcony. And I love how he kisses her, and she acts as if she's all stoney-faced about it, but really, she loves to fool everyone as much as Gen!
8) Actually, I believe that in KoA, Attolia tells Gen she's sorry a few times. I can't remember off the top of my head when, but I to remember it was during one of their more tender times together.
12) I think Gen does have trouble sleeping at night, because I think in QoA he mentions that the night is a thief's time. Maybe he's still getting used to it.
13) Lol; you're right, the intruder would probably just be expecting one of them. Though that intruder would be waaaay out of his mind to attempt to invade the royal quarters at night! (Unless the intruder happens to be one of their kids who's having a nightmare and needs a hug!)

Yes, it would be mighty awkward if suddenly the queen was expecting and as far as anyone knew, the only time the king saw her was at breakfast! But you know that scene in ACoK, the one with the matched set f knives and pistols? It seems odd for Gen to phrase it that way....a matched set in separate rooms? SO either they are transitioning to a more conspicuous relationship, r Gen just doesn't feel the need to decieve Sophos.
Hmmm... I don't remember her apologizing to Gen at all...I remember when he says that he cannot keep on apoologizing to her because she'll get bored, though. Did she even apologize to Relius? I don't remember. I do know any easy way to find out, though...REREAD!
And yes, anybody who whould attempt to get past Irene's ironclad security system - all those spies and armed guards - into the bedroom of a woman who killed her own husband, would either have to be crazy or named Eugenides.....Or, like you said, Eugenides Jr.! (That sounds so cute, doesn't it?)

Yeah I think there was a discussion on Sounis way back when where they were discussing whether Gen and Attolia were close already after getting married, or if it took them the extra few months to get closer with each other. I personally think that for two people who have been isolated for most of their lives, it might take them a while to open up to someone, even if it is someone they really love. I think by the time ACoK rolls around though, they've been married for about a year, so they're pretty close then. And I don't think that Gen has any need to deceive Sophos at night. ^^ Just during the day.
There were a few times... I shouldn't be so lazy picking up the book; the shelf is only 5 steps away from my desk, but I feel super lazy today, so I'll just have to tell you next time. Oh! I think one time was when he had the nightmare. Ack! You know what, I should just go get it; easier than racking my brain.
"I'm sorry if I startled you." That was by the stairs when Gen got stabbed. And the other I can't find at the moment, but it was when Gen tells her that "apologies get boring", because by the time he got the nightmare and he apologized, Irene says, "You're right. Apologies get boring." So yeah...

I think you're right - I think they probably too the steps in their marriage slowly, because there were so many things they needed to overcome first...and the isolation is just one of those things. And I think that they kept their relationhip soooo quiet because they needed the time to work things out without all kinds of rumors and speculation flying about. LOL, the guard gossips worse than a bunch of schoolgirls!
Haha, if the gods snuck into Gen's room what would they tell him? Because "Go to Bed" would be pointless, and he shouldn't be whining in his sleep, so "Stop Whining" whould be pointless to...."Stop snoring," maybe? XD
