52 books in a year

I have always loved books, though our relationship was rather unstable.

There were times when it was unusual for me to be seen without a book, whether it was at home, school, work or on the way to any of these places. And then I could go for months without as much as touching a book cover.

Recently my flatmate told my about this interesting initiative encouraging people to read 52 books in one year and I thought "Well, why not?" It works well with my New Year's resolution to read more books, though given my work load associated with job, studies, social events and other components of so-called life, I don't really expect to read 52 books. Still it is a challenge worth a try. Plus it goes well with my ego.

Just so you know (the collective you of my imaginary readers): these are not reviews, at least not in the common meaning. I treat this rather as my journal of thoughts and feelings provoked by the given book. But if it helps someone with the choice of the next book - well, good for you.

And to be clear - there will be spoilers.
