Kipinn's a friendly spirit; one of my favorites. It's nice to see someone else taking the initiative to learn from him.

There's still plenty of New Feathers about, yes. I don't understand the reason for the influx, but I can't imagine it means anything good for us. Still, at least helping them passes the time around here.

Of course! Each spirit has its own specialty, which is why it's worthwhile to learn from them all.

I wonder if it was an accident on the Malnosso's behalf, or whether they've decided to change their schedule on purpose. How would that be beneficial to them? Then again, I suppose only time will tell.

It would be a rare person who could learn from them all, I think. Some refuse to interact unless you already have an affinity for them. Have you learned from any aside from Kipinn?

I doubt it's an accident; either they've lost all restraint, or they have something planned--or both. If only we knew what they were planning...but you're probably right, the only thing that we can do is wait and see.

Of course. I haven't been sitting still since I arrived here. While affinity for certain elements would indeed be helpful, I've found that past experience with contracting spirits works wonders as well. These Filial Spirits may use different measures to test one's worthiness, but in the end the basic theory comes down to the same thing.

On the bright side, I doubt we'll have to wait for too long. Whatever this change in the cycle means, confirmation on whether it's more permanent or not should present itself in a month or two.

It's sad that I fully expect to still be here in a month or two. Whatever interest I and those from my world have for them, they haven't gotten tired of us yet. If only they would; I don't want to see what they have in mind, in terms of changes.

Ah, you've spoken to spirits before? That's interesting. Where they much like the Filial ones?

I'm sure most of us would much rather be at home before the situation goes downhill again. However, it's best to look at this from a different perspective. Now that we're here, we've been granted a chance to find a way to stop the Malnosso from doing this to any more innocent people. Being sent home while others are still suffering here seems almost selfish, in a way.

Indeed they were! Much like the Filial spirits, Summon Spirits need to be sought out in some way and you must prove to them that you are worthy of wielding their power. Only then will they grant you a pact.

...that sounds much like the pact between my people, Summoners, and Eidolons. Eidolons are summonable beings and we always have to prove ourselves worthy of calling them, through combat. If we win, we can summon them.

You have a good point. More people shouldn't have to suffer this fate. I would be eager to strike back against the Malnosso, if we could only find a way to do it. I can't help but think that Eidolons -or whatever you chose to call them- are key to this, since they sealed that ability away. Eidolons or not, though, that's not going to stop me if we can actually find them.

You have a good point. The ability to use Summon Spirits is void in Luceti as well. Though I have many theories on why this may be, it could also be that the Malnosso sealed the ability on purpose. This deserves further investigation.

I'm positive they did this on purpose. They're sadistic enough to, not to mention that Eidolons are more powerful than the spells people are allowed. I thought I heard mention of someone being able to summon, but I was never able to find out if that was true, or not. I doubt it, though.

Someone being able to summon inside Luceti? It'd be a wonderful discovery if that were true! It'd certainly eliminate some of my theories about why summoning is currently impossible in this place.

Well, so far it's an unsubstantiated rumor. It could be true...or just that, a rumor. I wonder if the 'summoning' was actually some kind of illusion, created to look like a sentient being. But without finding the source, that's just an idea.

And you have no idea where this rumor originated from?

Rumors. I actually heard about it more than once, though I think most people didn't understand what I meant. Still....

The only thing I can think of that might be relevant was when I spoke to Kamui about summoning. He works at the clinic. Someone he knew -Yuzuriha- had a...what was it called, a Dog Spirit. I don't remember the exact name. It aided his friend in battle by turning into different weapons. I don't know how exactly that works; I've never seen it. Nor does it sound that close to the way my Eidolons operate. Only the fact that he said this person was able to call the guardian spirit somehow was anything close to what I understood. Maybe he misunderstood me; in any case, I'm not too sure it's an actual summoning until I see it for myself.

I see... Though it still might be worth looking into. Any shred of information might be a clue, yet you won't know that for certain until you look at it from all directions. While the result of the summoning might be different, the theory could still correspond. Either way, I'll make a note of it. Perhaps I can ask this Kamui about him, should I meet him.
