I'm watching eps 174-176 right now. The Tezu-Fuji match, right. And I'm supposed to be analysing it from the perspective of slashiness, because a couple of people have asked me to talk about how I read those eps as a Tezuka/Ryoma shipper.

:)) actually when i watched it last time i think i watched it resentfully, because by that point i already knew that fandom considered it like the Pinnacle of TezuFuji Canon, and so I was basically watching it in order to get through it and endure it so i could get to the final episode of LOVE.

I think PoT fandom almost ruined Fuji for me, because I went through the first half of tenipuri thinking, 'oh, man, Fuji is so awesome' and then I went and explored fandom and realized that he was considered this uber-character of Myth and Mystery and Dysfunctional Evil. ....which wasn't how I saw him at all so I was like wtf fandom, and then went through the last half of the series watching to try to figure out where they were getting this characterization, and wound up being all :-w Fuji. :-L It took me a while to get past that.
