Delicious v/s Diigo v/s Pinboard

So, Delicious:
I am currently shut out of both of my delicious accounts. I cannot log in to my personal account, bookshop, which I 've had since 2006 and which my firefox extention informs me had 12,679 bookmarks as of the last sync. Apparently my password is suddenly invalid. I'm terrified that half of my tags and links will be gone. Like I ( Read more... )

Just a quick note from a lurker! When I looked at my bookmarks/tags not logged in, I had the same problem - only about 20 tags showing and less than half of my bookmarks but once I'd logged in they all seemed to be there. The tags don't all appear on the list of tags (which is awful and completely unhelpful) but they do appear to all be there in the bookmarks themselves. Hopefully, if you get in, all your bookmarks and tags will, at the very least, be in tact.

I'm now logged in and only about 1/3 of my bookmarks appear to still be saved to my account.

ARGH, it's heartbreaking to see the side-by-side comparison. :(

There's a lot of discussion going on about the whole thing here: http://deliciouslymad.livejournal.com/21308.html

The pinboard guy seems really awesome; I emailed him today about an importing problem and he replied in TWO MINUTES!

I hope you can save your bookmarks! No idea how, though. The export function seems not to be working, let alone the fact that you can't log in.

Oh, oh, over at deliciouslymad there was a post about backing up fan accounts, and at least one person mentioned you ( here), so you could contact murklins to see if they backed you up.

I managed to export my Delicious just a few minutes ago, so I think it is working, just it's being very glitchy and tempermental. Still, ugh ugh ugh.

As I understand it, the migration of bundled tags is still a work in progress. I was alarmed at first, too, but upon closer viewing all my links are still there, they just haven't migrated the bundles over yet so it looks like I only have a couple dozen tags.

They're also still working on the function that allows one to do a mass edit of their tags. At the moment I can't access my links that have a / in the tag by clicking on the tag name (I can still access the links, but I have to scroll over to the page on which they're located rather than just sorting by tags). Whether or not that will change, I don't know, but I thought I'd go ahead and just change the tag names that had a / in them to something the system would recognize but that function is not operative yet.

There's a whole list of functions that they're still working on listed on their FAQ page, so I'm sure that we're not dealing with the final product yet.

OMFG, you too? I used to log into Delicious with my Yahoo ID and suddenly today I can't get in that way. So....what's my password? The password reset process sends me an email but when I click the link it says "hey, you already used this link." I sent an email to Delicious to find out what to do, but it sounds like there are major issues. I exported to Diigo last December too, but all of my grad school links are on Delicious. I will cry if I can't at least get in to get them.

I am totally looking into Pinboard now. This is ridiculous.
