THINGS I HAVE DONE THIS WEEK WRT INCEPTION:

Realized that the Eames in my head is an extraction of Dexter from The Philadelphia Story. Because EVERYTHING comes back to Tracy/Dexter for me, everything, and because Eames is just that patient and obvious and in love, and because Arthur's feet are made of clay, made of clay after all.

Gotten to the point where literally every song on the radio reminds me of Arthur/Eames. I did this driving to Williamsburg yesterday (to have dinner with pinkfinity!) and, like. AMONG THE SONGS THAT SUDDENLY STRUCK ME AS TOTALLY A/E WERE, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, "I JUST HAVEN'T MET YOU YET," "YOUR LOVE IS MY DRUG," "HOTEL CALIFORNIA," AND "FIND YOUR LOVE." I DON'T ACTUALLY THINK THIS IS SANE. i think i left sane somewhere far behind, before every single thing on my delicious roll turned into "OMFG THIS FIC WHERE ARTHUR IS TURNED INTO A SATANIC COW AND EAMES HAS TO ~SAVE HIM~ IS THE BEST THING EVER OMFG I LOVE FANDOM YAY" etc etc etc. I wish I were exaggerating, but sadly I'm really not. sdfjkadf.

Threatened Cathy with bodily harm if she didn't go see the film soon, then freaked out and TOLD HER NOT TO GET HER HOPES UP TOO HIGH when i realized she actually was going to see it. Life. laksjdf;d. I still maintain you need to see the movie twice, if only because the characters slot into place much more clearly the second time, even if the plot gets that much stupider. (And by "characters slot into place" I mean "you realize that you want to have sex with everyone repeatedly." and by "everyone" I mean "Tom Hardy.")

inexplicably gotten repeatedly caught up in writing Arthur/Cobb porn, I DON'T EVEN SHIP ARTHUR/COBB, sighhhh.

Only like. a) i basically want to rec EVERYTHING I'VE READ full stop, and b) I haven't read nearly enough non-Arthur/Eames and Cobb/Saito to do the rest of the fandom justice, so I am putting it off until such time as I can track down the perfect Ariadne/Mal obsession!porn and the Robert/Eames futurefic of my dreams. Also I have to finish my House of Leaves crossover (and by "finish" I mean "start") and my wild theories fic, which has at this point been jossed by everything ever on the kink meme, and all my inexplicable Cobb/Arthur prompts I agreed to fill even though I don't even ship Cobb/Arthur, and. and.

Oh, fandom, why does serious heady obsession with you always come with such a heavy to-do list?
