Hello! I just joined the community today. I started working at Books A Million about two or three weeks ago and was very happy even though it was a *bit* of a income cut... I couldn't keep the job I had anymore due to school. But BAM is a perfect job for me-- I was always straightening the books when I came in anyway, heh. The only thing I have the slightest problem with is that since I am interested in anime and other Japanese things, they saw fit to put me in charge of the two Yu*Gi*Oh tournaments they hold for kids every saturday. The younger ones (ten and under at 11, 11+ at 2) are great, they just have fun, but the older kids can be real brats. Do any of you work at stores that do "extra" things like that?

The rest of the job is great. I like working customer service, and cashiering isn't too bad unless they assign me a lot of projects or I'm closing. Plus I have access to books on my breaks or through their "check out" program. It is really great. :)

hello, chain
