I don't know where these people come from...
I had to pull an erotica title down from the top shelf. There was a man sitting on the stool, reading directly in front of the section, so...
Me: I'm sorry to bother you, but I need to reach a book on the top shelf behind you and I need your stool.
Him: Oh what? Of course. (Looks up, stands up) Are you sure you didn't want to climb over me?
Me: (open mouth, close mouth...wash rinse repeat)
I don't think I've ever been rendered so completely speechless at work before. I should also add that I'm over four months pregnant and was wearing 'work' attire.
It is also a never ending source of annoyance that customers don't get that other customers might want to browse the sections they are blocking when they randomly sit in front of the shelves.
