Just a question for my fellow Chapindigites: is anyone else running out of books? I don't mean the normal Christmas depletion, I mean "where the fuck is our stock?" stuff. We all suspected that SAP was going to make for a bad holiday season, but it's really outdoing itself. As of today, we are out of The Da Vinci Code, America, Eats Shoots and Leaves (and that's what I can remember. I know there's more), and getting periously low on Shake Hands with the Devil, State of Fear and god knows what else. Our bestseller wall is, shall we say, minimalist. Most of the sections have huge gaping holes. I'm just so tired of saying "no, we're sold out of that". And you just know we're going to get flack if our sales our down (well, maybe if we had something to sell!!). Meanwhile, Queen Heather is chirping away about how great things are. Gah.
