Heya, I'm new =)
My name is Natasha and I live in NY. I've been in the USA for the past 5 years or so.
I plan on opening a bookstore in northern Westchester county (or possibly Rockland county) sometime within the next 5 years. I deal specifically with antique books and right now sell them online or by appointment. I also do translations (spanish, french, italian, and portuguese). When/if I get this thing off the ground, I'd like to stick with what I know. So I figure I'll start with the old books and the smaller translations, but eventually I'd like to branch out to book repair.
I know nothing about book binding but am desperate to learn. Is anyone here involved with that sort of work? I'm currently in the southern westchester/bronx area, if that helps. There must be classes or internships available where I can get some hands-on expirience somewhere in the NY metro area, right?
