Yeah, I'm surprised about the charging, too. We don't do that either. I feel REALLY bad for you that you have to tell customers that. I bet it's hell.

As for Wicca/Religion . . . I have two great stories.
So you've all heard about the wonderful remodel of my store. One of the few good things was the fact that they moved Wicca/Pagan/Metaphysics into Religion.

(This didn't happen to me, it happened to a co-worker.)
Customer: "I saw that those witchcraft books are in Religion. Now, I'm not complaining, but I think you'll have people who will complain. Just so you know."
Co-Worker: *stares blankly* (Co-worker is Pagan.)
Manager: *steps in very quickly* "That -is- a religion."
Customer: "Well, someone is going to complain."

When I heard that, I said, "I really, really hope they complain to me." I should note that I am also Pagan. Very Pagan.

Second story . . .

Customer: "Hey, I noticed that Wicca and Metaphysics is in Religion."
Me: [getting ready for a complaint] "Yes."
Customer: "I just wanted to say that's great. I was so happy to see that. It makes me want to shop here more. I think it's wonderful."
Me: *exhales* "Well, me, too."

So, I say HA to that other customer.
