Money on the Counter
Hi! I'm new here, was just given the link. And I laughed myself silly. It's so lovely to know that there are others who go through the same thing I go through everyday. Thank you!
I've been working for Borders for just under a year now.
Okay, so here's my thing: I HATE it when people put the money on the counter. HATE IT! Especially if I have my hand out and the put it BESIDE my hand. It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up right away.
But you can't say "You rude jerk, pick that money up!" so I just keep going with the fake smile and then I don't say 'Thank you' and I don't say 'Have a nice day' or any of that. It sounds really silly right now, but that's like my little revenge for their rudeness! 'HA! You're not going to have a good day now!' Up until this moment it was only in my head, but now I've shared it with a bunch of other 'sellers . . . who all now think I'm a nut.
