A Bad Sign

It's still a month until Christmas, and I'm already ready for it to be over. To wit, in just the last week:
>We have five CDs of Christmas music, but the one CD of Hannukah music we were sent arrived the same day as the e-mail from corporate telling us not to play it because of "inappropriate words." But hey: we still have James Taylor's and Willie Nelson's Christmas albums!
>We have non-profit groups come in to wrap books for customers, usually for a small donation. We're pretty explicit that the folks need to see a receipt before they wrap something, so they know it was bought by our store and customers aren't bringing in, say, their clothes to be wrapped. Today, I found another reason tho check for receipts: not once, but Twice, customers brought up books to the registers that had already been wrapped to purchase. Neither was very thrilled when told I had to open them up to ring their purchases.
>Not, I suppose, directly holiday related, but there was also the guy one morning who looked at me wrapping something, looked at the other cashier helping another customer, and then proceeded to turn around and BELLOW across the width and bredth of the store "is there anybody at the damn cash registers!" He showed up again a couple of days later, and was just as pleasant.
I love my job. No, really.
