Oh wow. I think I've found my spiritual home! ^_^
Could I share a rare heartwarming story? I had a customer ring up looking for a book last week. I put it by for her to pick up when she came in, and was actually a bit brisk with her. She asked my name over the phone, which was irritating, because you just know they're only looking for someone to hold accountable if all goes wrong (and if it does, the management'll probably defend me, not them -- they have, after all, known me longer.)
Anyway, when she came in, she asked if I was the girl she'd spoken to on the phone. I confirmed that I was, and she gave me a packet of biscuits for so kindly putting the book by for her and.. doing the job I am paid to do. Aww. The biscuits are Turkish, and yummy. I know one shouldn't accept sweets from strangers, but I'm not one to look a gift-customer in the mouth.
"Don't eat muffins when I'm developing you!"
