So many books, so few muscles.

It's a sad, sad thing when you have to say "no" to free swag, especially free books.

My intrepid partner and I did a day trip to New York Comic Con on this Saturday past. [A full con report will be posted over at my personal blog Syzygy later today ( Read more... )

I know the feeling.I remember once being so weighed down by wonderful second hand book finds on a hiking holiday in Wales that my friend and I sent all our dirty clothes home in a box marked "printed papers" and kept the books with us. The guy in the post office looked a bit suspicious probably cos the "book" box smelt of old socks but we just barefaced our way out of it. The books weighed a ton but we could get them out and gloat everytime we got to a B and B. Surprisingly nobody sat next to us on the bus home and three weeks later we had to open the box which was stored in her mum's garage which was NOT nice but hey....

I also bought loads of books in Borders once on a trip to Whitby when we loaded down with luggage and Lonemagpie made me carry them the mile through town and up the cliff path for not being able to wait till the trip home when we would have passed Borders anyway.

But yes, it can be so hard to resist books!
