I had made this comment before to Ty, and just within the last hour to Nicky: that I was disappointed with the university process. I felt I was not being challenged enough. I mean I was studying for exams and writing essays, sometimes 4-5 days late, hours before they were due, and still was pulling off A's and B's. I even uttered that university was just a joke. In fact it is, I just forgot why it was funny.
I forgot the reason why I went back to school in the first place: to increase my knowledge and understanding of the world. Somewhere along the line that got lost, and in its place a devotion to solitary letters arose. Sure high marks are desired, but it is more about how they are achieved rather than their actual achievement. The challenge cannot be presented from outside myself, it never could be. The only challenge is within me, it is in fact myself. Now I can smile for I finally caught the joke.
