Fred smiled softly when Rupert kissed her before he left the bedroom to take Molly downstairs. Sitting up, she stretched a bit, her muscles a little sore from everything that they had been doing the last week. The news they had gotten last night hadn't helped much either. She knew, though, that Cordelia, like Wesley, would have wanted her to continue on with her life - that had been part of what her dreams had been about

Giles watched as his wife examined the vase. "I'm going to try and research the symbols first," he said, glancing over at her. "If I can't figure it out then perhaps you can run your scan. It's probably nothing to worry about." He stepped over to her and softly kissed her forehead. "I best take a shower before we're late."
He went into the bathroom and started the shower. It didn't take him long to finish and when he got out, Giles quickly shaved and wrapped a towel around his waist before stepping out of the bathroom. Giles went over to the closet and took some clothes out and got dressed.
"Do you want to take my car or your car today?" he asked as he slipped his new watch on. Giles picked up the vase, and various papers, and placed them in his shoulder bag. He stepped up behind his wife and wrapped his arms around her waist. "How are you feeling today, love?" he asked.
Fred nodded to her husband as he kissed her forehead, knowing that he was right and there probably was nothing to worry about regarding the vase. It was just a bit strange, getting something like this from an unknown source. Part of her briefly wondered if it was from Angel or Charles, but somehow, she doubted it - this wasn't their style. At least, it hadn't been

"Well, I am the boss and I could give us permission to be late," Giles quietly said as he softly stroked her face. "But I do suppose we should go in since everyone will be expecting us today." He leaned over and softly kissed her lips, being mindful of her lipstick. "I love you

Fred tried to let herself relax during the drive into work. She smiled when Rupert took her hand, giving it a squeeze before keeping hold of it until they reached the Council parking lot. Once they were parked, and he had helped her out, she looked over at the building. It was a bit strange to be back in a way - it felt like a lifetime had passed in the space of a week

Everything in the lab seemed to be going well - Martin had made sure that all the reports were ready for her to go over. But there were a huge stack of acquisition requests she needed to read through and sign, experiment requests she needed to approve, and other work that was enough to make her head spin.
When she wasn't reading and signing, the others were stopping by and asking questions, and she wasn't sure, but while the questions were quite polite, there seemed to be a...pointed undertone to them. She didn't have time to really worry about what her people weren't saying to her - there were more important things to do.
But the time lunch arrived, she felt like if she saw another piece of paperwork again, it would be too soon. Maybe it had been a bad idea coming back today. She felt like there were too many other things that she should have been doing though she couldn't figure out what. She felt like she should have been doing something more for Cordy - calling her family, taking care of a funeral, something. She had been

Giles was relieved when he heard the door open, followed by his wife's voice. He hadn't realized how much he'd missed her miss. When Fred wrapped an arm around him, Giles automatically snuggled closer before chuckling. "I do suppose another day off would've been nice but we still would've came back to a mountain of paperwork," he commented before looking at her. "I missed you terribly."
Leaning forward, Giles softly captured his wife's lips. The kiss was soft at first but it soon deepened. When they broke apart, he placed his forehead against hers. "I was so busy this morning that I forgot to bring something to eat," he said with a sheepish look. "Do you want me to go get something? Or would you rather not eat?"
Giles dipped his head a bit and softly nibbled on Fred's neck. "Or I could just eat you." He grimaced a bit and looked up at her. "That was a really bad pun." Giles then straightened himself out and looked at his wife. "How was your morning, love? Any problems?"
"I missed you too," Fred told him. "And you're right - nothing would have changed had we come back later. So I guess it's better that we get it over with now

Giles was a bit disappointed when Fred to him to behave. He sat back when she started to tell him about her day so far. "Sounds a lot like--" he started but stopped when his wife continued to talk. When she mentioned having a memorial service for Cordelia and Wesley, he nodded in agreement, not knowing if she was done talking or not

Fred smiled when Rupert agreed with her idea about the memorial service. She hadn't even been sure that was what she wanted to do, but as she had spoken about it, it had become clearer. "The park sounds perfect," she told him, leaning against him. "I know Cordy liked to go out and sit in the sunshine when she had a chance. Not that we had much of a chance

The more they kissed, the more Giles wanted to bend his wife over the arm of the sofa and shag her senseless. When she pulled back and said she was finished with her birth control pills, he smiled, feeling his heart flutter with the thought of them having a child. But when she mentioned that he no longer had to believe, he felt himself start to harden
