Letting out a soft sigh, Fred cuddled against her husband, resting her head against him as her told her about how he had left Sunnydale. She knew how much Buffy meant to him - for him to feel that he had to leave, things must have been bad.

"I feel like I want to just get on a plane and go back to England," she admitted tiredly. "But you're right, this about Dana. We need to find her and take her back and help her. I saw that lab at Wolfram and Hart, Rupert. I'm almost afraid that they might...that they might experiment on her."

Closing her eyes, she snuggled closer against him, his voice as soothing as his words. "I'm so tired," she murmured.

She hadn't slept since...it had been 36 hours, possibly more. They had been running errands the entire day before and then gotten married and then gone to the hotel before driving back to London and packing and flying over, and she hadn't been able to sleep on the plane at all.

"I think I want to sleep now," she told him. "I'm not...not hungry."

"Then sleep, love," Giles whispered to his wife. He held her until he heard her breath become even with sleep. Giles then carefully picked her up and laid her at the head of the bed before talking off her shoes and covering her with a light blanket. "They won't ever hurt you, Fred. I promise." He leaned forward and softly kissed her forehead before stepped away and going to the small desk in the room ( ... )

At first, Fred's dreams were rather quiet, containing the general things her dreams had seemed to be about lately - working in the lab, spending time with Rupert - nothing out of the ordinary. But as she slept, the dreams slowly began to change and she found herself walking the halls of Wolfram and Hart, people smiling at her creepily as she did. But even though she wanted to scream and run out of the building, she continued walking, heading into the lab and over to one of the pieces of equipment there, putting a sample in it and working as if she knew exactly what she was doing and the lab was hers to do what she wanted to.

Fred, a voice said. It sounded like Wesley, but when she turned around, no one was there ( ... )

Giles woke up when he felt Fred stir in his arms. He kept his eyes closed though, not knowing if she was just moving or if she was awake. It sometimes amazed him at our in-tune with his wife he was at times. When she kissed him and then whispered her words of love, Giles opened his eyes and smiled. "I love you too, Fred," he whispered back before capturing her lips with his.

With his hand tangled in her hair, and he kissed her deeper. When they needed to breathe, Giles pulled back and softly nibbled on her bottom lip. "Did you sleep well?" he asked against her lips before he kissed her again. His mind seemed to poke him and reminded him that just a few hours earlier Fred had been an emotional mess. Giles ended the kiss and looked his wife in the eyes. "I'm sorry. Are you feeling better? I tried to make sure you were comfortable since you fell asleep in my arms."

He moved away a little and took a deep breath. "Would you like something to eat?" he asked, motioning toward the room service menu. "They have tacos."

Fred had to smile a bit when Rupert handed the crossbow to her. He knew that was the weapon she knew best how to use, and it was definitely the one she was most comfortable with, if it was possibly to be comfortable toting around a deadly weapon. She prayed that they wouldn't have to use them. The poor girl probably didn't understand what was happening to her and was just going on instict ( ... )

Giles took Fred's hand as all of them stood by the window and watched Dana pace back and forth. She reminded him of a potential he'd worked with during his first years at the Council. The girl had accidentally killed her best friend and had gone off the deep end. When the Council had gotten a hold of her, they stuck her in a tiny white room and used her as a test subject. They were not going to do the same with Dana ( ... )

Fred swallowed hard as they watched Dana. Part of her wanted so badly to reach out to the girl - she remembered pacing her cave and talking to herself, scratching into the walls with rocks or chalk, all in an attempt to keep herself sane. But at the same time, she could see something very dangerous in her, in the way she was talking to herself about death and blood and darkness. It sent a chill down Fred's spine, especially when she threw the box against the wall, causing it to splinter into several pieces ( ... )

Giles' Watcher instinct almost made him turn back around to see what happened but he decided to just get out of there before Dana saw Spike and attacked them. When they got back to the car, Giles got into the front with Spike and pulled his mobile out. He figured he could send an e-mail to Andrew and have the younger man set up a place for Dana when they brought her to England. By the time the e-mail was finished, Spike was dropping them off at the hotel ( ... )

Fred did as Rupert asked and stayed back even though she wanted to run over to Lorne and make sure he was all right. She could hear him moaning, the sound almost bubbling from his chest. Finally, they managed to restrain Dana, knocking her out with the tranq gun and she rushed over to Lorne ( ... )

Robin and Giles worked hard on getting Dana secured in the car. It was a bit crowded but they had no other choice really since they needed to get Lorne back to the firm and get Dana and Robin to the drop up point. When Fred's mobile rang, Giles knew they were going to drop Dana off first. There was no way he was going to allow his wife back into Wolfram and Hart without him beside her. He would never trust Angel, especially with someone he loved ( ... )

Fred was so worried about Lorne that she really wasn't paying much attention to Knox when they first entered the medical facilities at Wolfram and Hart. She instead was watching while Spike put Lorne on the gurney and the doctor wheeled him back into what appeared to be an operating room to prep him for surgery ( ... )

"I got it," Gunn said, trying to push Giles off of him. "Let go or I'll call security on you." Giles grabbed Gunn's mobile and smashed it against the wall. Gunn held up his hands, trying to show the other man that he would go if he let go. With a shove, Giles let Gunn go and watched him walk down the hallway.

When he heard the medical door open, Giles turned and looked at Fred for a moment. Some of his anger was toward her but she'd been through enough and getting nasty with her, like he'd done the day before, wasn't going to help. Instead, he took a deep breath and looked through the window of the medical room.

"You should've told me," he quietly said as he continued to stare through the window. "I'm not mad, at least not anymore but you can't keep things from me Fred. We're in this together. It's almost like this place is trying to tear us a part."

Giles finally looked over at her. "Come here, love," he said, holding his hand out for her. "How's Lorne?"
