here After lunch was finished, Helen asked one of the staff to package some of the leftovers for Giles and Fred to take with them. The four of them retired to the parlour to have tea before Helen fetched Sara Jane’s number for them. “She’ll do most of the planning for you and I’ll make sure she doesn’t charge you too much,” she said, handing the number to Giles.
He wasn’t looking forward to having someone else plan his wedding but he smiled and thanked his mother just the same. When it started to look like rain, Giles decided Fred and him had better get back on the road. He told Fred that he’d get Molly from the back garden. After saying goodbye to his parents, he went out the backdoor.
“Come here, Molly,” he said. The puppy happily ran over to Giles and he picked her up. He carried her back to the car and placed her in the carrier. To keep her from crying again, he stuck a small piece of roast beef next to her, that she eagerly started to chew on.
Giles got into the car, figuring he’d drive the rest of the way to Bath. He buckled himself in and smiled when Fred got into the car. “Did you enjoy yourself?” he asked as he started to car.
