Gotta Love All-Nighters....

Decided to really buckle down and go through some of my books and get rid of some of the ones I really couldn't see myself reading (and making it through, I mean the ones that I would REALLY be pushing myself to read), or ones that I've read and don't want anymore.  I wouldn't do this but having over 500 books and limited shelf space stinks.

I will be getting rid of:

Shakespeare: King Lear, Othello,Twelfth Night, Taming of the Shrew and As You Like It
I have a complete Shakespeare so I see no reason to keep these individual ones that Professor Crabby Pants had us buy for her classes.

The Mask of Atreus by A. J. Hartley.  Not my cup of tea.  I tried.... really did.

See Jane Run by Joy Fielding.  Was reminded I had this when someone in a comm I'm in posted about how much they didn't like it... reminded me to get rid of it.  Thank you, Person!

Great Mysteries of Lost Treasures.  Good idea, poorly executed.

Nightsong: The Legend of Orpheus and Eurydice.  Good story but the fact that the author insisted his was writing about greek characters and greek gods and goddesses while using the ROMAN names makes me get rid of this book PRONTO.

Aphrodite by Russell Andrews.  Good idea for a plot and I really tried.  It felt, however, like he was still trying to set up the story 100 pages in.

Nicholas Sparks: The Rescue and A Bend in the Road.  The Rescue was okay.  Endearing even.  Read it a couple of years ago.  Not going to reread, am sure.  A Bend in the Road... I want my time back.

So yea, taking them to the bookstore to do a credit deal.  Hoping a book that I spied there about a week ago is still around.  Was the third in the Tales of the Otori series.  Loved the first two and would be awesome if I don't have to pay full price for the third!

Haven't slept a wink, but that's okay!  I got a TON of reading done...

clearing out, reading, books
