*The PCD comes on to a scene of utter destruction. The area it's recording looks like it was once a house, but it seems to have been ground zero for a massive bomb. [Jr. gets a blank look, completely unsympathetic. After training to be an assassin for so long, death has lost its meaning to him. And the idea of an afterlife is laughable. The way he sees it, every time he tells someone goodbye, they probably aren't ever going to see each other again. He doesn't say it, but that's his mentality. In Adstring this has only gotten worse. Every time he walks away from somebody for any longer than half an hour, there's a chance they'll disappear.

There's no real reason for his singling out Jr. over anyone else. It's just the wrong place and the wrong time. But Jr.'s reasoning makes way for a very distant, very not happy smirk.]

Yeah, you'd both be buried in the ground together. Maybe even in the same grave, where you can be dead together forever. That sounds so much better than knowing he's probably just fine back at home doing what he wants to do without you to hold him back.
