I'm finally reading fiction again, which excites me. I'm 81 pages in and enjoying it,
The Face of Another by Kobo Abe. I picked it up because I had read his book
The Woman in the Dunes several years ago and loved it (talk about existential dread and horror! Or just dread of the inevitable... Highly recommend it). I don't know why it has taken me so long to read another one of his books.
Have any of you read any of his books? Which ones? What did you think?
What are some of your favorite true crime books? I just finished
Midnight in Peking: How the Murder of a Young Englishwoman Haunted the Last Days of Old China by Paul French. Not for the faint of heart. I really enjoyed it. Quite haunting. I'd love any true crime recommendations!
