I'm going to BEA again this year. If anyone wants to go Saturday as a Power Reader (or for the whole thing, if you fit their criteria) and meet up afterward for dinner or something, let me know!
BEA is BookExpo America, where you basically go and meet your favorite authors and get books that haven't come out yet signed and people HAND YOU BOOKS EVERYWHERE YOU GO. It is basically Booknerd Heaven and everyone should go at least once in their lives. Last year, they had Neil Gaiman and Sarah Dessen and Cynthia Voigt and David Levithan and Rainbow Rowell and Mary Higgins Clark and R.L. Stine and Jim Carrey and Dr. Ruth and so many others! It was fantastic. I highly recommend going if you're anywhere near NYC, or even if you're not.
