The Blind Banker/The Adventure of the Dancing Men/The Valley of Fear (Spoilers)

Yeah, I know, I'm mixing fandoms. You wanna make something of it?

So, this episode is supposed to be a mash-up of several stories, including "The Adventure of the Dancing Men"--heh. Mostly, it's about a woman with a past, the man who adores her, and a code. In the story, the code is made up of figures that look like they're dancing. The Valley of Fear includes a gang, a mark, a letters-and-numbers-use-a-book cipher.

I'd love to get more into this because it was very interesting, but I finished these a few days ago, and a few days ago I wasn't as sick as I am now. But it was interesting to see how these were all folded together into one story. Again, in Valley of Fear, we do the half-way cut to the back story, but I feel like it's slightly better done here, although I wouldn't go so far as to say it didn't bother me at all to be reading what feels like something else. Honestly, it's worth considering that this guy would've rather had been writing other things, so he just jammed them into his Holmes stories.

And this time I DO think all the elements are there for the reader to follow along.
