BSC 102 - Intro to Fanfiction
Last weekend, I came out of the fanfic closet to my sister. She already knows I'm amazingly geeky, and her response when I told her I was writing BSC fanfic was "That is so much cooler then role playing games."
My sister is a little younger then me. When we were kids, we read the books together, played with the dolls together (I had Kristy and Claudia and she had Stacey and Jessi,) etc. But she was younger then me, and not as much of a reader in general, and she still isn't.
I'd love to show her some fanfic, because it's so good, and because I'd have someone to squee with, but I have no idea where to start. So I'm looking for recs with the following qualities:
1) Features the sitters.
2) Has a decent amount of exposition. I'm fairly sure that she remembers the basics, but things that changed during the series might get her lost.
4) Fairly short. She doesn't read a lot.
5) G or PG rated
6) Not too angsty
7) No weird pairings.
Feel free to rec your own stuff if you think you wrote something that fits! Or rec things written a long time ago by people who aren't active any more, or things from other sites. Whatever you think would be a good first fic!
