The Fuzzballs have returned...

We are now in possession of all four of our fuzzy creatures--thanks to L and R for looking after them!

Superpumpkin is on Livejournal! I look forward to her frequent postings on tortoises, Russian dolls and the Progress of Pip.

Today was a pretty chilled out day. Did a tiny bit of work in the morning (tomorrow is going to be a bit busy as a result), and some sleeping and eating and chatting with superpumpkin in the afternoon and evening (she had a desperately-needed sleep in). The weather was all over the place as usual, but no downpours, so that's good. Healing seems to be going ok at the 'crossroads'. Had to change one of my dressings, but the other big one across my belly stuck on fine, so I didn't have to do anything to that beyond stick some Inadine and a pad on one patch on my hip which was 'sloughing' badly and looking gross. I think one of the district nurses will be by tomorrow to check on things (ouch, will need to shave a bit if there's going to be much more of this ripping bandages off) and possibly apply the MANUKA bloody DRESSING. Had no painkillers all day, but stiff and twingy by the evening, so took some paracetamol. The body is such an amazing thing, considering just under three weeks ago I was opened up hip to hip, and here I am now taking a couple of paracetamol like I have a headache or something! Go, body, go!

We had a bbq dinner: sirloin steak and veg, and it turned out amazingly well. We really liked the beans and bell pepper with garlic (chunks!) and butter. Courgettes were slightly bitter, but will go nicely in the foil pack with the rest of beans/pepper/garlic for tomorrow's bbq, which will be the lovely chump chops from the butcher.

I'm wondering if L is making ice cream right now... or pasta? I hope she takes pictures to show the Kenwood in action!

Film night chez superhippies... Atonement tonight. Bring on the 0% beer. I wonder if maybe we should have some popcorn tonight too... darned antibiotics get in the way of snacking, as you're supposed to have them on an empty stomach! Wonder when I took that last dose...
