i haven't been too up to updating this. well, to be perfectly honest, i haven't felt too up to spending much time in front of my laptop. i have spent way too much time with it this past school year that i just am not ready to sit in front of it. i am still pretty sick of computers still, what with the amount of time i spent writing papers this last year. i spend time with them at work because i have to, but i'm just not ready to spend my free time at it. well, except for this update on life.
this whole being out of school thing is just too strange for me. i always feel like there's something i still have to write up, or do readings for. it's a strange adjustment period right now. that, and now i find myself with a lot of free time and not enough to do. or well, there's things to do, but i'm just not used to actually having time to do it all. i've been accustomed to rushing and squeezing things in, not having ample time to get it all done. it's definitely odd.
the last week, i've spent working, and well... reading books for pleasure. oh how i've missed it. i haven't come across a great ready until this very morning. i started this book at 9 this morning, and since then have been reading it obsessively for the past few hours. i finished it about half an hour ago now. i have not devoured a book like that in a long time. Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck is a YA book, the first book in a series. thankfully its part of a series, because i feel in love with the book and the characters. it's about an ancient Prince of India who was cursed into the body of a tiger, and trying to break said curse with the assistance of a "special" girl. of course, this wouldn't be perfect if there wasn't romance involved between the two, and an equally cursed brother acting as the third part of the love triangle. =D i love and am dying to get my hands on the next two books of the series.
okay, so i have lovely R&R weekend in Niagara this weekend, and hopefully after that i will be back to my routine things. i've got dramas i'm putting off watching because, well, i'm still really disliking being on the computer. =P it may sound silly, but trust me, i've had my fair share of technology to last longer than a year. but it is inevitable that i return to relying on it. i'm off to try another book from my stack.
books,
