dumbstruck and bewildered
i have been so out of the loop with jdramas that i didn't even notice news of this one.
apparently japan is remaking Hana Kimi. they're adapting Hana Kimi, AGAIN!
i don't understand. it hasn't even been 10 years since they made Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. i don't even think it's been 5 years since then. from what i've just quickly discovered it is a remake and not a continuation. it will be a different cast, too. =S i just don't know whether to be super annoyed or excited. the first adaptation i followed rabidly. then when the excitement from watching it as it was airing wore off, the adaption became super flawed in my eyes. its still super funny in my eyes, but as an adaptation it failed. it became more about the stupid antics of guyxguy instead of Sano and Mizuki.
so if they're remaking it to be like the first one however many years ago, i will be annoyed. but then again, this could be a chance for them to adapt it right. i don't know.
well, here's the only bit of casting news i've got from the drama so far.
this is our Mizuki. she more or less looks exactly how Maki did in the first adaptation. which makes me think that it'll be exactly like the first. *sighs*
