Best Love 8+Romance Town 6
well it seems i'm not giving up on any kdrama's this season. i though i would, but all of them have not got me good.
Romance Town finally got on its feet and started moving forward. of the three kdramas i'm currently following (Lie To Me, Romance Town and Best Love) i was predicting i would drop this one first. whereas Lie to Me had Yoon Eun Hye and Kand Ji Hwan gave me a reason to keep watching, this one didn't have anyone in the cast that i would care to stick around for. like Lie to Me, the first two episodes were cute, but the main plot of the drama was lost in the numerous sub-plots and characters. i was difficult to stay interested when the attention kept diverting from Soon Geum and Gun Woo and Young Hee, the only three i really cared about. plus i couldn't figure out what the heck Romance Town was about for a while.
but it has found it's stride, and after episodes 5 and 6, well lets say i'm looking forward to this more than Lie to Me. Lie to Me's story is a mess and all-over the place. Romance Town still has plots all over the place, but the main plot, with my love triangle is simple and sensible. well, as sensible as a kdrama love triangle could get.
Young Hee likes Soon Geum. Soon Geum likes Gun Woo. Gun Woo like Soon Geum who is pretending to be Shi Ah (she's borrowed her friend's name), but also secretly holds interest in Soon Geum for real. episode 6 has one of the most hilarious scenes where both men try to contact their objects of interest, not knowing that it`s the same woman. ha, awesome and cute.
now with Best Love. this drama did it to me again. this drama knows how to tease really, really well.
ignoring Seri, who pisses me off with her "I am the universe" mentality, this scene was my favourite of the episode.
Ae Jung was openly sharing herself with Jin. progress!!!!
there was a lot of revelations in this episode. one being the one mentioned in my episode 7 post that i was hoping wouldn't get used as a wall. but alas, they have. **grrrrr** i'm just hoping that this wall won't block my OTP for too long. since its something that's just been revealed i will accept it as a road-block for now. but it cannot carry on past next episode. i will just be very, very, very upset. our OTP is this close to coming together. come on, do me right drama! you've gotten everything right so far. i know you can get this right, too!
