i wasn't planning on attempting another translation so soon after the previous, but my beautiful day screamed for me to finish this one.
so this is dedicated to beautifulness of today
the Indigo - I Do!
from their album Song is Love
quick song review: in general, the Indigo is a really feel good easy listen. all of their music is pretty light musically and lyrically. this song was my very first Indigo song and i still love it to bits. when in a down mood, this picks me up. when i'm already up, it just completes my good mood.
there are two versions to this song: this version, which is the album version and then i guess you can call the other version an anime/tv version since its the one used as the EP of the anime Ai Yori Aoshi. the main difference between the two versions is that the album version features a percussion solo in the intro and the middle.
the highlights of this song: the rich percussions, the trumpet soloes, and the funky, fun keyboard riff that plays in the background.
as always, the lyrics in its original japanese is
here I Do!
Looking for myself
I want to be your sky
Because of love I’ve changed
Thank you for your love
Humming a melody
Everything’s coming into the light
I do! All the things I’m proud of
I do! I give them to you
I once saw something like a love story
I do! I want to believe in miracles
Whatever kind of feelings are connecting us
Even with this slow start, I believe we can fly
So…
Looking for myself
I want to be your sky
Because of love I’ve changed
Step over the rainbow
We may exchange a kiss
We’re going into the light’s rhythm
I do! Our hearts become entangled
I do! Awake from my dream
Everywhere continues to be a beautiful day
I do! With two people drawn
Whatever kind of feelings has drawn us together
We must go until we reach love’s utopia
So…
*Even if only strong feelings was what we had
Whatever morning we face, we’ll never be lost
So…
Looking for myself
I want to be your sky
Because of love I’ve changed
Thank you for your love
Humming a melody
Everything’s coming into the light

translator's notes
*this lines was hard to translate because i had no idea what "gyutto" translates into (sorry, i would write it in its proper katakana writing, but this computer i'm on doesn't allow me to type in any language but english). i looked everywhere and i still couldn't figure it out. so i kind of ignored it and translated around it.
i think this was a pretty crappy translation. for the most part, most of it was straight forward literal translations. i'm a little disappointed with myself.
well i plan on translating more from these guys, so i hope the next one turns out better.
