Catching Up ...

In other news, I am so glad my fellow interns are so awesome. I mean, totally wasn't expecting to be able to quote Douglas Adams and Star Wars at each other. The only downside is I'm the only DC fan in the group :(
As for the Storm, I honestly don't know what happened. LJ being out isn't our biggest issue, it's our lack of offense that is super concerning. Normally our defense is good enough to take care of any offensive deficits but that hasn't been the case this year. Add in the fact that we are unable to rebound and that we keep turning the ball over and it's looking kind of disastrous. That last game in Indiana just broke my heart especially emo!Sue.
I also haven't posted about DCnU. Quite honestly, I might buy Batgirl and Birds of Prey just to see how badly I've been screwed, but I don't want to give DC any ideas that I want those books long term. Why can't Rucka return and write a team of Huntress, Question and Sasha for me?
As I pointed out on tumblr, I don't care that the universe is now more racially diverse. All I see is the number of female characters I care about disappearing whether it's Steph as Batgirl, Barbara as Oracle and Huntress. And I have some very faint hope that the special guest star who will be in Mr. Terrific will be Sasha even though that seems unlikely since the reboot has given him a new love interest and who knows if he's even worked for Checkmate anymore.
