Lol… I’m amused by your haterade toward the Salvabros over this episode since I was WAY more filled-with-hatred after the last episode. I may have declared them both dead to me. But this episode actually went a ways to making me forgive them?
I think maybe I couldn't properly process my anger from 4x15, and now I am suddenly just overwhelmed a lingering resentment. I still think Damon is rocking the emotional avoidance a little too hard, although that is not OOC, obvs. But I can never stay mad at him for long, and you're right that considering Elena's new no-holds-barred policy toward killing, it was the better option.
Stefan would have to fall on a lot of pointy things repeatedly to make me feel any sympathy for him at this point.
I don’t think she even particularly wanted the ribbon (or the party, or anything else) in itself - she just wanted to prove THAT SHE COULD take and have whatever she wanted, finally.
OR Elena has always been obsessed with ribbons but has always kept it under wraps because she didn't want to embarrass the people she loves by wearing a RIBBON HAT.
