A picture of the skirt I mentioned in my last post:
The fabric is a stretch denim from Silk Road in Austin that has some linen in it and is woven with green threads amidst the denim. In the sun it has a lovely shimmery green cast. The lace is some I had leftover from making dining room curtains. Is it wrong to be proud of my resourcefulness, or does it reveal me to be shabby in my clothing construction?
I liked the greenish denim and the light green lace so well together that they also became friends in my newest art quilt:
As you can see, the quilt isn't matted or framed yet, but it should be added to the shop in this week's update (possibly Thursday?)!
