I slept in a little and then headed down to Elaine's parent's house to pick up a couple of thing Elaine and Jesse had left for me (a carseat and a rocking chair); woo, baby stuff!
I was settling down and planning on making some lattes for myself and Lukas when there was a knock at the door--who could it be? It was Andy! He grabbed us and we all headed off on a crazy crusade to beautify the men's bathroom at Reprographics (where Andy works). The fruits of our labor are below:

This is the "blue" stall: the poster above the seat covers is puppies in paintcans and the blue painting on the side wall is a teddy bear picnic! There's also a blue wall pocket full of plastic flowers hanging from the hook on the back of the door.

This is the "pink" stall: the poster above the seat covers says "What is a girl?" and contains a lengthy, laughable discourse on the subject; the two little hearts on the back of the toilet--one says, "let go" and the other says "let God."

The pink plastic flowers on the back of the urinal offer the perfect subtle touch!

Okay, the poster on the left is on Rhea Pearlman and Danny DeVito. The cat has springs for legs and is carrying gardening implements. The certificate above the mirror was awarded in 1933 to a graduate of The American College of Life Underwriters.

And, of course, curtains to finish it all off. The cream curtain on top runs all the way across the top of the stalls...brilliant.
(See my scrapbook for a great photo of David dining on the counter in the lobby of Reprographics.
Surprisingly enough, this was not the most or only exciting part of my day! David and I went to a baby shower for our friends Will and Cynthia. We saw them last week at our friend Lori's birthday party and I casually asked what kind of games there would be (baby showers can be quite notorious for silly games). They said there weren't really any planned and so I started running through the list of games I've seen (most of which I've only seen on "Gilmore Girls"). The idea they did like (stolen from "GG," of course) was decorating onesies. Ergo, I went out this week and spent several dollars on onesies (enough for one per person) and fabric paints, fabric crayons, stencils and iron-ons. We had a blast! You can see all of the onesies at my scrapbook, but here are a few highlights:

The "warrior" and "scion" are David's. Will made the navy blue one and Cynthia made the one that looks blank (it actually has little skulls and crossbones on the shoulders).

The elephant (also an iron-on) and the black skull and crossbones with a heart of gold are mine. The hairy spider is Lesley's.

This is one of my favorites; unsurprisingly, it was crafted by Lukas' steady hand.

Obviously not a onesie, but cute, nonetheless: a bat mobile. Get it?
Here's to totally awesome Saturdays! :)
