Feckin' Awesome Evening
Since David had double kung-fu tonight, to gear up for New Year's, I was OMO.
I worked until about 5:30 before I came home. Then, I had an awesome evening.
I spent an hour and a half playing Beatles Rockband for the first time since I got it for Christmas from David's parents.
Then, with stiff legs but still in a rocky mood, I put in "Almost Famous."
Whenever I think about how many, many times I've seen this film, I wonder why I keep coming back to it. Then, I come back to it and am struck all over again with the amazing-ness that is AF and Cameron Crowe. It's one of those rare things that truly speaks to my soul, on so many different levels, you know? I mean, the rock 'n' roll, the poetry of really good writing, the genius of Billy Crudup and Philip Seymour Hoffman. And as an added bonus, it has Rainn Wilson--srsly! ("Dwight" from "The Office") It is just an all-around amazing movie.
