So far it has been a good weekend. Did critical mass for the first time in a long time. Drank some. Made some *brownies*. Went to Shay's party where there was excellent food. Finished Selling Women Short. I saw the author on CSPAN not long after that.

This book is clearly biased, however, that doesn't mean it is not a good book. A lot of "progressives" don't shop at Wal Mart (like myself) and every once in a while, we need a reminder of why we shouldn't shop there. This book shows that not only is sexual discrimination commonplace in Wal Mart's environment, but it is accepted as part of the culture of Wal Mart. It covers women's personal experiences, such as having managers hold meetings at Hooters and strip clubs, as well as statistics that compare Wal Mart's progress in the area with competetors such as Target.
