I apologise for the transmission I had inadvertently broadcasted upon my arrival. I was understandably distraught and had been unaware that I was holding a recording device. I think I'm finally well enough to accept what has happened, and I'd like to thank those who reached out to me and take the moment the properly introduce myself.
My name is Hermione Granger. I'm a friend of Harry Potter's, and come from the same world as him and Sirius Black. (... and Snape, too, I suppose.) I will be staying with Harry, at least for a while, so any who come by for a visit should expect to see a new face about.
While I have this on and believe I'm doing it right, I'd like to ask a question that I'm sure has been asked before: has anyone done any research or come close to discerning a method for returning to our respective homes? I've come to understand that we don't stay here forever - indeed, the constitution of this place seems too unstable for any sort of permanency - so knowing ahead of time of any revelations people have made would be a big help.
Also, if anyone has seen a wand, I would appreciate knowing about it. At this point, any would do, but I'm pariticularly hopeful that I or someone I know will come across one wrought from vine wood.
