Monkey Around by Jadie Jang was great. Maya, a monkey shifter, investigates a series of murders in San Francisco.
If you're familiar with Chinese folklore, you'll guess at once that this is (very loosely) based on Sun Wukong's legend, just like FC Yee's excellent Genie Lo duology. It also uses a number of shifter stories from all over the world and has the POC rep to go with it.
Maya has a couple of male love interests, but it's mentioned that she occasionally dates women. There are a few more LGBT characters in the background.
