I don't read that author/series, but usually there isn't a massive difference between UK and US versions other than potentially different covers and different release dates, or like with the Harry Potter series, some differences in the text/spelling. Like using "jumper" instead of "sweater," or "favourite" instead of "favorite," that sort of thing. Probably more likely if the author is from the UK rather than if they are American, though. I don't know if UK publishers spend a lot of effort to convert text for UK audiences or if they just generally use the US text if it's the original one.

I did do a quick check @ amazon.co.uk and they have a release date of Mar 26 2015 listed for the UK, so I'd be hesitant to give Bookdepository money yet for the book listed for a Jan 30 2015 release date. Might not be correct. Doesn't the author have some sort of release date info? She might not know when every edition of her new book is coming out, but should at least have a general ballpark idea.

You should be aware that some booksellers will list a book based on its announced release date - which means occasionally you will see books listed that were never actually published.

I read a British mystery in which solving the crime required a background knowledge of the chronology of changes in nursing uniforms as worn in British hospitals. I rather wished that there'd been some accommodations to the American reader when it was published in the US.

The American edition of Anthony Burgess' novel A Clockwork Orange deleted the final chapter. Stanley Kubrick based his film version on the American edition. Burgess was not pleased with the movie.

I'd agree with others that all you might find is certain words being spelt differently though sometimes if the novel is set in USA the American English spelling will be retained.

Size of the book may also differ - the mass market small paperbacks are not usually done in UK - so book size will be larger and cover likely different.

You probably will be able to get imported version via amazon though Book Depository is a good source for international sales.

Thank you. All of you, for your advice. This has helped me lots! I just wish that book would come out like yesterday.
Thanks again.
