Historical fiction/nonfiction rec?

I've been searching high and low for a book-- any book, fiction or nonfiction-- that will fulfill my (admittedly) extremely specific search:
Japan/France relations, historical (specifically 19th century)

There just don't seem to be any books on the topic at all!

If anyone has any other good recs for East-meets-West (not specifically France and Japan) type historical books, I'd love to hear those too :)
