Trudi Canavan's Black Magician Trilogy
I've had the first two books of this trilogy on my bookshelf for... years now. Decided to start reading them and liked them well enough to borrow The High Lord through paperback swap. I wouldn't call the trilogy amazing or anything, but I liked the story well enough. Certainly helped to pass the time.
