Blogging is hard!

Like the title says, consistent blogging of content with substance is hard, if not impossible. Unless you take it as a full time job, which won't actually guarantee the quality of your writing, according to so many writer dudes I've talked to over the years. Consistancy and quantity, sure. Quality of information and writing, meh.

I've written and deleted about three posts in livejournal post editor on pixel arts and how I'm fascinated by it all. Also some stuff about nanowrimo and how awesome I think my story will turn out to be, if I can find the time to write it down (and I will, considering the nanowrimo contest only lasts for a few days, and I would have to type like a madman if I'm to fulfill the word count requirement... Right?). I wrote them all down and deleted them all, rather bummed out at how horrible each of the pieces were. I guess it serves me right for posting rants all the time with no coherent vision.

At the moment I maintain two different blogs, three including a tech-oriented blog over at the Opera community. I'm thinking I need to move on now. it's much to tiresome to maintain everything separately, and I've been cross posting most posts for the last few times anyway. I feel that I need a single blog that's about anything and everything that I can write down without thinking about them to much, like technologies, programming hacks, games, diybio, and animes. Just things going on in my life that's actually interesting enough to record on the ever increasing reaches of the web. And livejournal just doesn't do enough, platform-wise, to serve as a base of a media-rich blog with all the newer web services integrated into a seamless package. The wordpress blog will still serve as a face of my internet persona (and I don't really want to move it around, since it's getting regular readers now) but I plan on making another blog that will house all my first-drafts and junky posts.

I've chosen google blogger as the blogging engine of choice for my junkfood blog, and I'll be pulling all sorts of contents around the web into it, like twitter, flickr, twitpics, and amazon/adsense stuffs as well. I'm also thinking of giving some space to other interesting websites that offer affiliate programs around the net, like play-asia. I've already found a cool new Miku clock widget for the new blog, and I'm using the Blog2Blog program to import all my livejournal posts into the new blogger account... Which isn't easy since blogger only accepts 50 entries per day and I have about 300 posts on my livejournal account. It's still moving though. And it'll be done and away with soon enough.

I'll still keep my livejournal account alive since there are established communities here that I can ask questions to (like the numerous nyc communities for asking questions on rent and good foods around the city <3), but I won't be actively updating this site anymore. Everything's packing up and moving to my awesomer blogger account.

Speaking of blogs I haven't updated my main blog in weeks. Sigh.

move, blog, life
