Book 3: Frankenstein

Oct 03, 2009 01:19

Okay, wow, so...Frankenstein. It was alright. I'm actually surprised I didn't like it more because I've been looking forward to reading it since high school. I don't know, maybe I'm reading too many books at the same time, or maybe I don't really have the time to actually sit down and enjoy reading, but I wasn't too thrilled with this book. "Gothic" novels aren't really my style, but I usually find pleasure in reading them.

When Victor Frankenstein moves away to college, he becomes obsessed with the idea of creating life. Once he does, his creature turns against him when denied love and companionship, killing everything that Victor holds dear. The tale is a gripping tale once you get past Victor's history in the first part of the book and the real events start to take place.
